Lexora Audio Player includes built-in analytics designed to measure engagement, interaction, and content performance.
The analytics system is based on three core metrics:
- Sessions
- Effective Plays
- Completion
From these, Lexora calculates two key performance indicators:
- Play Rate (%)
- Completion Rate (%)
Sessions
A session is recorded when a user loads a page where the Lexora Audio Player is present and initialized.
A session represents exposure to the audio component — even if the user does not press play.
What Sessions Measure
- Page-level visibility of the audio player
- Potential listening opportunities
- Total audience reach
Sessions provide the baseline for calculating engagement metrics.
Effective Plays
An effective play is counted when a user actively starts playback.
This indicates intentional interaction with the audio content.
What Effective Plays Measure
- User intent to listen
- Initial engagement with audio
- Content attractiveness
Multiple plays within the same session may be handled according to internal engagement logic, but the primary goal is to measure meaningful listening actions.
Completion
A completion is recorded when a user listens to the audio until the end.
This measures full content consumption.
What Completion Measures
- Depth of engagement
- Content retention
- Audio quality and relevance
Completion is one of the strongest signals of content performance.
Play Rate (%)
The Play Rate measures how many sessions convert into effective plays.
Formula
Play Rate (%) = (Effective Plays / Sessions) Ă— 100 Example
- 1,000 sessions
- 300 effective plays
Play Rate = (300 / 1000) Ă— 100 = 30% A higher Play Rate indicates that users are motivated to start listening.
Completion Rate (%)
The Completion Rate measures how many effective plays result in full listening.
Formula
Completion Rate (%) = (Completions / Effective Plays) Ă— 100 Example
- 300 effective plays
- 180 completions
Completion Rate = (180 / 300) Ă— 100 = 60% A high Completion Rate suggests that your audio content maintains attention until the end.
How to Interpret the Metrics
High Sessions, Low Play Rate
Users see the player but are not motivated to start playback. Consider improving placement, call-to-action, or design.
High Play Rate, Low Completion Rate
Users are curious but drop off early. Consider shortening content or improving pacing.
High Completion Rate
Strong indicator of high-quality, relevant audio content.
Why Analytics Matter
- Measure real engagement beyond page views
- Optimize audio placement and UX
- Test voice styles and content length
- Improve content strategy using data
By combining Sessions, Effective Plays, and Completion data, Lexora provides a clear view of how users interact with your AI-generated audio.
